NAUG (Northern Azure User Group) recently held its first event in Manchester (Kindly hosted by the Co-op) with a couple of great sessions on ‘Co-op’s journey to the cloud’ and a session by Marcus Robinson from Microsoft on ‘Bring your own containers’. It was great to see so many faces there, both new and old.
The Co-op session run like “Conversation Street” from the Grand Tour (I’m not sure who looked like who) gave a look into their experience of choosing a cloud provider (their choice being Microsoft Azure), what their challenges have been along with way, what has gone well and what they would do differently if they were to do it again.
Microsoft’s Marcus Robinson Gave us a fantastic tour of all things containers in his ‘Bring your own containers’ covering the Azure Container Registry, Azure Container Instances, Azure’s Kubernetes Service, Service Fabric and Azure Web Apps for Containers.

Thank you to everyone who came, it was a great event, a lot of learning and meeting new people and catching up with old faces over beer and pizza. We’re all really looking forward to the next one. If you’re interested in future events then please keep an eye on our MeetUp and LinkedIn group.
